Goal 15 - Life On Land
Maine has many terrestrial ecosystems:
-
Maine's North Woods is home to various ecosystems, including alpine, boreal, and deciduous forests. The North Woods is part of the Northern Appalachian/Acadian Forest, which is the largest temperate forest in North America.

Goal 15
A flourishing life on land is the foundation for our life on this planet. We are all part of the planet’s ecosystem and need to combat deforestation, loss of natural habitats and land degradation. Promoting a sustainable use of our ecosystems is the key to our own survival.
